www.hotel.e

by Andreas Vonder/Frank Heuel

WWW.HOTEL.E was developed on the basis of improvisation. Andreas Vonder wrote the text while working on the rehearsals. He picks up on the multilingualism of guests that is common in hotels – people speak German, English, Dutch. The starting point of WWW.HOTEL.E was the public space in the work of the American painter Edward Hopper.

… The ensemble developed the texts for this together with the Dutch author Andreas Vonder in long improvisations. They are micro-stories, broken dialogues, scraps of monologue that the characters talk past each other in this closed society – always between banality and existential despair.

For this helplessness of communicating, Andreas Vonder has found the perfect language together with the six actors. Paradoxically multilingual: German, English, Dutch.
