Julia weber

Julia Weber, born in Tanzania in 1983 and later raised in Zurich, studied literary writing at the Swiss Literature Institute in Biel/Bienne from 2009 to 2012. She is a co-founder of the art action group “Literature for What Happens,” the “Swiss Literature Service,” and the feminist collective “RAUF,” which works to strengthen the position of women in the literary world. The multiple award-winning author of the novels “Immer ist alles schön” (2017) and “Die Vermengung” (2022) is an associate author of the Maison du Futur, Zurich, and an artistic collaborator in the research project “Formats of Sharing” at the Zurich University of the Arts together with Michael Günzburger and Florian Dombois.

The fringe ensemble is collaborating for the first time for the fringe writers project “Ruth” (working title) 2023 with Julia Weber.
