Latvian author Ivo Briedis lives in Riga and has been associated with the fringe ensemble through collaboration in many projects since 2003. We talked with Ivo about the situation of the Latvian people in the face of the brutal invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces. There are fears that Putin will also attack the Baltic states.
One result of our exchange was: Ivo wrote a kind of diary over several weeks. In his texts, he reflects on the situation, describes life on the streets, and talks about his own constitution – in other words, a diary. We published it bilingually under the title „Impressions from a fragile world / Ivo Brieža trauslās pasaules fragmenti.
