Five actors meet in an old studio to dub the movie “Green Tulips”. They wait for the sixth person, Martha Wagner, who played an important role in the first part of the film. The studio conditions are not optimal. The actors have to improvise in order to continually find creative solutions for the recordings.
DER SPRECHHUND is the third cooperation of director Frank Heuel and Dutch author Andreas Vonder. After www.hotel.e and Modus they continue their individual and successful way of “work in progress”. “The text develops during rehearsals.
Vonder and Heuel have already proven in their previous projects “Modus” and “www.hotel.e” to be specialists for the game in the game. With “Sprechhund” they deliver a masterpiece that gives the actors plenty of room to develop.

The author Andreas Vonder transmits the one-dimensional ” Talking Dog”- Act on the actor’s sense of identity a la Luigi Pirandello: “I exist, but I do not know who I am.” … After the monologues two scenes need to be synchronized and the bizarre love story suddenly appears like a safe haven amid the character identities, making ” Sprechhund ” a great play about acting itself.
