Marie Nimier

Since her successful debut with SIRÈNE (SIREN) in 1985, that was honored by the Académie française, Marie Nimier (* 1957 in France) has published a dozen novels that were translated into numerous languages. For LA REINE DU SILENCE (THE QUEEN OF SILENCE, 2004) she received the Prix Médicis. Although she mostly writes novels, texts for children and lyrics are also part of her work (interpreted a. o. by Juliette Gréco, Art Mengo, Eddy Mitchell, Jean Guidoni and Enzo Enzo). Marie Nimier participates in musical and other hybrid productions and has been writing dramatic texts for a number of years. Together with the choreographer Dominique Boivin she developed À QUOI TU PENSES? (WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT?), a play for five dancers and two actors. In 2012 the Théâtre du Rond-Point in Paris showed her play LA CONFUSION, directed by Karelle Prugnaud.

Marie Nimier is one of the authors of the project VÖLKERSCHLACHTEN.
