Kristín Eiríksdóttir

Kristín Eiríksdóttir (* 1981 in Iceland) graduated with a BA degree in Fine Art from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2005. She has published three books of poetry – KJÖTBÆRINN (MEAT TOWN, 2004), HÚÐLIT AUÐNIN (SKIN COLOURED DESERT, 2007) and ANNARSKONAR SÆLA (ANOTHER KIND OF BLISS, 2008), a collection of short stories DORIS DEYR (DORIS DIES, 2010) and the novel HVÍTFELD – FJÖLSKYLDUSAGA (WHITE FUR – A FAMILY STORY, 2012). Together with Kari Ósk Grétudóttir Kristín co-wrote the play KARMA FYRIR FUGAL (KARMA FOR BIRDS) which was performed at the Iceland National Theatre in 2013 and nominated for the Gríman, Iceland’s theatre award for best play of the year. In the same year, the Reykjavík City Theatre staged her one-act play SKRÍDDU (CRAWL).

Kristín Eiríksdóttir is one of the authors of the project VÖLKERSCHLACHTEN.
