This was the first collaboration between Frank Heuel and Lothar Kittstein, which was the opening event of the series “Club der Utopisten”, a cooperation between Theater Bonn and fringe ensemble. The text OPEN.NIGHT_THE PLAY was created s a kind of “accompanying sound” to the installation-performance in the Werkstattbühne of the Theater Bonn.
During a boxing match, which took place among the spectators as part of the performance, Lothar Kittstein wrote live. Simultaneously, these texts were projected on screens in the foyer and on the stage. Therefore viewers were able to follow the text-improvisations parallel to the actions.
The text must be regarded as experimental material, not as a fully developed play. It is a constitutive part of the performance that is not conceivable without any Here and Now.
